Adult Counselor Job Description |

Responsible for the care and welfare of various camper groups. Will lead and participate in various activities and oversee and assist counselors. Will ensure the safety and enforcement of camp rules and care of camp equipment. Will be responsible for the supervision of campers day and night. Setting a good Christian example for the children and staff should be the center of your thoughts.
Duties Include:
- Attend Staff Orientation and Training
- Demonstrate search areas in drills
- Follow all staff/camper rules set by the Director
- Leading activities (activity periods)
- Attending Bible Study
- Participate in the Arts $ Craft program
- To be with Counselor Group at all time, except during assigned activity periods
- Cabin Duty
- Beach duties: Buddy board, Aquatic Observers, Beach duty, Beach activity
- Taking campers to the showers
- Swimming
- Campfire program, songs and stories
- Counselor-camper discussion time and creative time
- Cleaning of staff quarters and camp facilities after each use
- Supervising and advising junior staff
- To report any staff or camper incident to the Director
Resources needed:
- Clipboard
- Whistle
- Watch
- Swim suit
- Good health
Qualifications and training Requirements:
- 18+, experience with children and Junior Counselor experience preferred
- Leader skills needed
- Must attend Orientation and Training Session before camp
- CPR and First Aid certification help
Lead Adult Counselor
A Lead Counselor, in addition to his/her counselor duties, may be chosen to be responsible for helping the Camp Director supervisor camp activities and ensure the welfare of campers. May be called upon prior to camp, for activity planning suggestions.

- Junior Counselors and campers
Supervised by:
- Camp Director, Camp Supervisor (and Lead Counselor)
